Hosta

(Hostas)

Hostas are some of the most popular plants for shade gardens, and for good reason. Hosta are easy to grow, hardy in almost every growing zone, and come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. If you have room in the garden for giant hostas, we have varieties that reach 4 feet in diameter or more. Interested in miniature hostas? We have those, too! Variegated hostas add brightness and light to shade gardens while blue-leafed hostas are a cooling influence in hot climates.

Hostas are primarily grown for their foliage, with leaves that can be as small as two inches wide and four inches long to a foot long and six or eight inches long. All hostas do well in full to partial shade and moderately moist soil. They are adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions. Hosta plants are a specialty of Garden Crossings. We offer dozens of varieties. Browse now to find the varieties that are right for your garden.
