Verbena is a trailing annual flower that grows well in full sun. These low-maintenance plants grow well in the ground or in containers. They’re commonly featured as a “spiller” plant in our hanging baskets and annual combos. Verbena plants are drought-tolerant and attract hummingbirds—doing double-duty in the garden. Superbena™ plants are special selections that are more heat-tolerant than original varieties. Verbena flowers bloom in shades of purple, white, pink, apricot, fuchsia, burgundy, and even multi-colored with speckles.
Fertilize these plants a few times during the growing season and they’ll bloom their heads off. Cut them back in the late summer, and they’ll grow out with fresh fall flowers.
