Location: Boise, ID
Hardiness Zone: 5

This is an awesome plant -- IN THE RIGHT LOCATION.
If you are looking for a spreading groundcover to plant with large shrubs and trees (please do not plant with small shrubs or perennials) - it's is hard to beat this very hardy plant. BUT BEWARE -- it is very invasive, if you do not want it - do not plant it.
Always check with a local nursery, extension center or Landscape Architect about how specific plants will do in your region.

Avoid this plant like the plague - if you grow anything else, it will creep underground and smother the life out of it. I can't believe it is actually sold. You can never get rid of it.

Location: Seattle, WA

Thank you for posting the invasive warning. This plant is a problem in the PNW, extremely invasive planted in ground, but stunning in containers.

Customer Rating:

(Snow-on-the-Mountain) Aegopodium 'Variegatum' is a vigorous spreader that will create a beautiful display in that difficult shady location. It can also be planted in a large tub or decorative container where it can be contained for an attractive exhibit. As a variegated version of Bishops Weed, 'Variegatum' has light green and white leaves that produce umbrella-shaped clusters of tiny, lacy, creamy white flowers that bloom in early summer.
