Great plant! Blooms heavily in the spring. Very hardy and seems doesn't mind south side fence in Memphis,TN

(Clematis) Deep rose-pink 8 inch flowers have petals with bold carmine-red central bars. Wonderfully free flowering plants bloom in late spring and again in late summer. Its compact habit makes 'Dr. Ruppel' one of the best for container growing. Also known for its large attractive spherical seed heads. Good cut flower variety. Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
