Agastache is native to the southwest US and Mexico. It grows well in slightly alkaline soils. The most essential aspect is good drainage. This plant will NOT tolerate wet soil, especially in the winter. It is naturally heat and drought tolerant. It is cherished by herb gardeners for it scented foliage and edible flowers. Propagation is by stem cuttings or division.
