Agastache x 'Purple Haze'

Common Name: “Hyssop”

Agastache 'Purple Haze'

Photo Courtesy of North Creek Nursery

This plant has yet to be reviewed.

(Hyssop or Hummingbird Mint) Agastache 'Purple Haze' brings a new color palette with its long racemes of smoky blue violet flowers that rise above aromatic foliage. The striking color is the darkest we have seen for an Agastache. 'Purple Haze' blooms prolifically from July until a hard frost! It remains compact in a container with an early pinch and is very tolerant of summer heat.

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:
Agastache is native to the southwest US and Mexico. It grows well in slightly alkaline soils. The most essential aspect is good drainage. This plant will NOT tolerate wet soil, especially in the winter. It is naturally heat and drought tolerant. It is cherished by herb gardeners for it scented foliage and edible flowers. Propagation is by stem cuttings or division.
