(Clematis) Clematis 'The Vagabond' is a newer clematis hybrid with a very compact habit that makes it perfect for containers or a small trellis. The deep purple 6-inch flowers have maroon central bars and prominent creamy white filaments that really stand out against the darker petals. 'The Vagabond' is a free flowering clematis that blooms profusely in early summer and reblooms in late Summer though Fall. Discovered as a seedling of Clematis 'Red Cardinal'.
