Clematis tangutica
Clematis
See what our great customers had to say about the Clematis tangutica .
This plant was extremely invasive for me. The seed heads are very interesting, but my plant was planted near a pinyon pine in my backyard and the pine tree and nearby plants were covered by this vine. The pine tree was so covered that its growth became distorted. I found that this clematis spreads far through underground runners.
This is one of my most vigorous growers. I think it is more beautiful after it flowers and leaves the seed heads
(Clematis) Clematis tangutica is a vigorous and free-flowering vine. In midsummer, an explosion of bright yellow lantern-like flowers cover the bright green foliage. The lovely flowers continue to bloom through October and are then followed by attractive seed heads in late fall. Clematis tangutica looks stunning when planted over an arbor!
