I've had two "Minuteman" hostas growing in a sunny location (Zone 5) for two years and have been very pleased with their performance there. They add continuous foliage interest at the front of a perennial border from spring through mid-October.
(Plantain Lily ) Hosta 'Minuteman' has bold, creamy-white margins on thick dark green leaves that make this Hosta a real knock-out. The ovate leaves are slightly cupped and rounded at the base. Pale lavender striped flowers are an added bonus. Also demonstrates good sun tolerance. 'Minuteman' is a selection from Hosta 'Francee' and an improvement over the very popular Hosta 'Patriot'.
