Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'
Houttuynia 'Chameleon'
See what our great customers had to say about the Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'.
Be very careful with this plant. It has taken over my garden. It spreads voaciously and is very difficult to get rid of.
Very invasive and hard to get rid of once it is established. Also, the leaves have a fishy odor. I wouldn't recommend this for a garden but it would work to fill in a large marshy area.
(Chameleon Plant) Houttuynia 'Chameleon', appropriately named, changes its color depending on the amount of sunlight available. The leaves are a variegated green and cream in shady areas and with more sun they take on shades of yellow, pink, and scarlet red with nickel-sized white flowers appearing intermittently in early summer. Easy to grow, 'Chameleon' is a vigorous groundcover that will even grow in shallow water.
