(Pheasant Berry) Golden Lanterns® Leycesteria is a hot new shrub with attractive, clean, bright yellow-green foliage with hints of red in the new growth. In mid-summer it is covered with 4 inch long pendulous, drooping clusters of dark purplish-red bracts and white flowers. Edible dark purple berries are produced in autumn and actually do attract pheasants and other wildlife. It is a fantastic plant for the perennial garden or as a color item for the patio.
