Muhlenbergia capilaris
(Pink Muhly Grass) Muhlenbergia capilaris is a 'sleeper' grass in the landscape. Through the summer it looks just like another ornamental grass, but when fall arrives the bright pink plumes erupt into bloom and are absolutely breathtaking! Airy rose-pink seed heads look like a fountain of cotton candy in the garden! Plant in groupings of three or more for the most dramatic affect in the landscape. Muhlenbergia capilaris is extremely drought and heat tolerant and so easy to grow - even in poor soils!
