Papaver orientale 'Queen Alexander'
(Oriental Poppy) Papaver 'Queen Alexander' presents beautiful, bright, salmon-pink blooms that will create a spectacular display in your perennial garden. Four to five inch wide flowers appear on strong stems from late spring thru early summer. The petals of 'Queen Alexander' have a crepe-paper appearance with a very soft texture and a large black seed capsule center, surrounded by dark purple stamens. These perennials are best planted near other plants since they will go dormant after completing their bloom cycle.
