Papaver orientale 'Royal Wedding'

(Oriental Poppy) Papaver 'Royal Wedding' has large, black seed capsule centers surrounded by dark purple stamens which enhance the 4 to 6 inch wide, white, papery blooms. Its strong stems, covered with fine hair, support the large blooms from late spring through early summer. Like many other poppies 'Royal Wedding' will go dormant after the bloom cycle is complete. Poppies are excellent cut flowers and can also be dried for floral arrangements.
