In midsummer, the plants explode with tall stems of tubular flowers that are deep lavender-rose at the base and lighter pink towards the tips. The deep wine-red foliage brings color to the landscape even when the plants are not in bloom. 'Dark Towers' PP20,013 is an outstanding garden plant and noted to have even darker foliage than Penstemon 'Husker's Red'.
