'Golden Chain' is a less aggressive species in the Arundo family reaching 5-6' tall (in the north) and 7' tall in the south, making this a great choice for the modern garden. In the south where your growing season is longer, showy plumes of copper will emerge mid to late fall. 'Golden Chain' Arundo Grass is great for use in a bog as it can withstand wet feet or is adaptable to dry locations. Use in mass plantings, specimens, or as a border grass.

Arundo grass is very adaptable to many growing conditions and locations. It will grow well in moist boggy soil and is adaptable to dry sandy soil. Often you will see it growing in ditches or locations that are naturally wet. This plant prefers a sun to part shade location. You will find that in most cases 'Golden Chain' will be a deer resistant variety. Arundo spreads slowiy by Rhizomes, and you will see it die back to the ground in the north in the winter.
