Common Name: “False Indigo”
(False Indigo) Prairieblues™ Baptisia 'Twilight' PP19,011 is a vigorous and strong growing hybrid of Baptisia australis and Baptisia sphaerocarpa. This new color breakthrough is the result of extensive breeding efforts at the Chicago Botanical Garden. By the third year Prairieblues™ 'Twilight' PP19,011 produces almost 100 flower spikes of unique deep violet-purple flowers highlighted by a lemon-yellow keel. Held above the handsome blue-green foliage, the inflorescences can be up to 32 inches long!
