See what our great customers had to say about the Clematis lanuginosa 'Candida'
Planted this year and has had nice blooms so far. It's only about 3 feet tall but is growing even in hot hot weather so far. It gets shade at about 2pm.
I have two, they are 12 feet tall and the most beautiful clematis I have ever seen mine are 6 years old now but were blooming the year after I planted them outstanding plant!
GORGEOUS!! I have this planted going up my chimney with Stella D'Oras in front to keep the clematis roots shaded. I've had to extend the trellis because it just grows and grows! Beautiful white huge blooms! I've had many compliments! I turn the flood lights on at night and it just glows in the dark!
(Clematis) Clematis 'Candida' is one of the best whites! It features large 9" pure white flowers with yellow anthers. 'Candida' produces flowers on graceful vines of old and new wood.
Clematis Prune Group 2 - These cultivars produce early season bloom on the previous season's growth and late season flowers on new growth. Generally, these cultivars are only pruned to shape. In the early spring (February or March), prune them lightly above the first pair of new swollen leaf buds, removing about 12 inches from each shoot. Also remove any dead or weak stems at this time.
