Common Name: “Cucumber”

Like the thought of growing cucumbers but don't feel like you have the garden space? 'Bush Champion' Cucumbers are perfect for the patio or container gardener. These crisp, green cukes get only 11 inches long and produce an abundance of pickles for you to enjoy. Cucumbers prefer to be planted in a full sun location with evenly moist soil and fertilized regularly. We recommend deep watering, as shallow watering will decrease your pickle yields. ?Bush Champion? Cucumber is a vine that can be grown on the ground or up a trellis to use up vertical space. Vertical gardening makes for an easier pickle picking. Your cucumbers are ready to be harvested around 8-10 inches, it is better to pick early than to pick late. Cucumbers are best eaten right away as they do not store well. When your plants are producing faster than you can eat them, try pickling or canning for flavors enjoyed well into the winter.
