(Big Leaf Hydrangea) Abracadabra™ Star Hydrangea will add sparkle and fun to your garden landscape. Large, lace-cap flowers appear pink and white, then mature to a hot pink above black satin stems. The addition of aluminum sulfate can push the flower color to blue. Abracadabra™ Star can be used in cut or dried floral arrangements. Hydrangea Big Leaf Growing Tips:
Abracadabra™ Star Hydrangea Plant in well-drained moist soil. Prune right after bloom because it sets bud in the fall on old wood. Needs high moisture. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. Flower color is affected by pH. For blue flowers, the soil must be more acidic and for pink flowers soil must be more alkaline.
