(Winterberry Holly) You can’t have a Mrs. without a Mr.! And here is the Mr. we have for you, MR. POPPINS® Ilex means berries poppin everywhere! If you desire berries for color in your winter landscape, but don’t have room for traditional Hollies, then we suggest giving MR. POPPINS® & BERRY POPPINS® a try. They are compact varieties standing 3-4 foot tall and wide, staying very tidy for the smaller garden. MR. POPPINS® is the male pollinator for BERRY POPPINS® or any PROVEN WINNERS® Winterberry holly. This busy fellow will pollinate 5-7 female plants and will need to be planted within 50 feet of the ladies to assure adequate fruit set. Berries will not develop on MR. POPPINS® so be sure to purchase BERRY POPPINS® or another variety of PROVEN WINNERS® Winterberry holly for colorful berry production. Ilex grows best in a full sun to part shade location and can tolerate wet soils. A PROVEN WINNERS® COLORCHOICE® Flowering Shrub.

  1. Karen

This will be great with my other Holly shrub and the birds will love the berries. Red Cardinals and Red berries and lots of snow!

  2. Patt T.

Of course you have to have this to go along with Berry Poppins! Both great Shrubs.
