(Rose)Proven Winners has knocked another one out of the park with its new Color Choice® Home Run Rose®. Home Run® is a recently developed hyrid from the Famous Knock Out rose. The deep red flowers and dark green foliage of Home Run® is more disease resistant to black spot and has proven totally resistant to powdery mildew. Home Run® produces a richer red flower than other shrub roses. It blooms nearly continuously with showy 3-inch wide, 5-petaled blossoms of an intense shade of red, from late spring to first frost. Rose Growing Tips:
Home Run Rose® blooms on new wood and has little maintenence that is needed. This rose does not need pruning like traditional roses - it will rebloom without deadheading. It may be pruned to shape in spring. Home Run Rose® is highly disease resistant and requires no spraying. You can apply a time release fertilizer in early spring.
