(Blue Spruce Stonecrop) Sedum 'Blue Spruce' is a low growing, fast growing ground cover reaching only 8" tall. The fine texture leaves are a silver blue with yellow flowers appearing on foliage spikes in late summer. 'Blue Spruce' is a great perennial choice for rock gardens, dry locations, or borders. If pieces break off they can easily be rooted if you want to plant it in several locations. 'Blue Spruce' is generally grown in full sun locations but will also tolerate part shade. 'Blue Spruce' tolerates the driest of growing conditions and thrives in areas many plants just won't. The low, spreading mat of foliage is a great groundcover but the plant will also add visual interest to combination containers.
