(Jacob’s Ladder) Polemonium ‘Heaven Scent’ will add beautiful texture to the part shade garden. The green fern-like foliage is accented with flushes of purple from spring into summer, and is topped by airy clusters of beautiful lightly fragrant blue flowers in late spring. The foliage of Polemonium ‘Heaven Scent’ will grow about 12″ high with the blooms reaching 18-24″, and it will spread 15-18″ forming a nice sized clump that makes a great companion for hostas and heucheras. Most Polemoniums prefer afternoon shade, but ‘Heaven Scent’ can handle a bit more sun, especially if it is well watered. ‘Heaven Scent’ is deer resistant and makes a great specimen plant, but is beautiful planted in masses in the woodland or shade garden. Polemonium ‘Heaven Scent’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.

Planted one in the spring and it really was a show next to the other shade loving plants, kept thinking “one more”. Maybe more.
