Details(Pineapple Lily) The unique foliage of Eucomis 'Dark Star' PPAF adds interest from spring thru fall with a vigorous clumping habit. The dark blackish red leaves contrasts well when planted with pinks, bright blues, and yellows. 'Dark Star' grows well in full sun to part shade locations and are drought tolerant once established. In the fall this dwarf pineapple lily produces delightful pink "pineapple-like" flowers. Larger than Eucomis vandermerwei, 'Black Star' PPAF is easy to grow and is perfectly suited for containers or the front of the border.
