(Stonecrop) Sedum 'Purple Emperor' has dark purplish-black foliage which contrasts nicely to the reddish-pink flowers in late summer and early fall. The dark foliage of 'Purple Emperor' is very stunning and is really set off when planted with bright foliage plants.

Beautiful Plant Review by Kari O | Zone: 4
Quality
This is really a beautiful plant, contrasts with many other garden plants. Mine is just a year old and about to bloom. I recommend pinching early to get them to branch for the best effect. (Posted on 8/7/2009)
