(Elephant Ear) If a conversation piece is what you are looking for, we have it! Colocasia 'Thailand Giant' is just as the name implies... a GIANT! In the south, at maturity, 'Thailand Giant' can reach heights of 9 foot! But even more amazing are the leaves. Each leaf can reach 5 foot long by 4 foot wide! A whopper of a plant! 'Thailand Giant' produces white lily like flowers that are fragrant, but mostly is grown for its foliage. In the north, we recommend planting this is a LARGE container. Colocasia like to stay moist to wet and in the north can be planted in full sun. For southerners, we recommend a slightly shaded area. Colocasia 'Thailand Giant' is a thirsty and hungry plant so we recommend that you keep it very well hydrated and fertilized for best performance. Be prepared for ooh's and aah's from your neighbors and garden friends!
