(Petunia) Supertunia® Flamingo Petunia has bright pink flowers with deep rose veining, the flowers almost appear iridescent in the sun. A Garden Crossings Favorite! Flamingo is a quick growing petunia that does well in containers or landscapes. In landscape applications, Flamingo grows 8-16 inches tall and can spread up to 18-24 inches. The rain is no match for Flamingo, the flowers are just as perky as before they were rained upon. Planted in full sun, Supertunia® Flamingo maintains a nice full and tight habit that displays tons of flower color in your landscape and garden and is known to flower earlier than some other varieties. Fertilize petunias often for best results. The Supertunia® family of petunias are self cleaning. What that means is that you do not need to pick at them to keep them looking beautiful all summer. We do recommend fertilizing your Supertunia® every 1-2 weeks with a water soluble fertilizer. This helps keep your plants well nourished providing you with loads of color. You may find that mid season your baskets and planters need a manicure. We recommend trimming your 'Flamingo' back to approximately the bottom of your hanging basket or container. This will encourage more branching and freshen up your planter. - More Info

Heidi's Pick
In my garden I did a trial of Supertunia® Flamingo planted directly in the ground. I absolutly loved the garden performance and the amount of blooms this little gem produced. The flowers did not stop up until a good hard frost here in Michigan. That meant, blooms until the end of October. This is a hard working plant in the landscape and was equally as beauiful in hanging baskets I saw.
