(Gooseberry) Gooseberry Pixwell fruit is soft, juicy, and high in sugar. White flowers appear in the spring on old wood, followed by the fruit. The pale green color changes to rich, pink flesh in August when Gooseberry Pixwell is ripe. Vigorous and productive and practically thornless. Fruit hangs in clusters on long slender stems one inch below the branches and small thorns. Pixwell is very hardy and does well in average soil. Self pollinating.
