(Blueberry) Bluberry 'Duke' is very firm and retains its fresh quality longer than most other varieties. 'Duke' blooms late but ripens early (Early July), protecting blossoms from late frosts. A heavy, consistent producer with upright growth but branches will droop to the ground when laden with fruit. Yellow-orange foliage in the fall. Medium to large light blue berries. Blueberry 'Duke' is known for its mildly tart flavor.

Big beautiful berries. Plant with another variety for larger production. They need acid soil. Check PH or plant in lots of peat moss. (Posted on 1/12/2012)
