(Blueberry-Rabbit eye) Imagine Blueberries that really aren't blue! 'Pink Lemonade' is an amazing breakthrough in blueberries that offers four seasons of interest. The show starts in spring when pinkish white flowers emerge. In mid to late summer 'Pink Lemonade' forms pale green berries that slowly change to a pale pink and then fully ripen into a bright pink blueberry. As fall sets in, the foliage turns a bright orange to deep burgundy color. The beauty isn't finished yet! Winter brings reddish twigs adding a nice contrast against the winter white snow. 'Pink Lemonade' Blueberries are adaptable to many soil types as long as it is well-drained with a pH level between 4.0 and 5.0. To obtain a soil with lower pH you can mix peat moss, leaf mold, or compost. A full sun location is recommended for best performance. 'Pink Lemonade' Blueberries are self-pollinating, although multiple plants of the Rabbit eye variety will aid in increased fruit production. Blueberry 'Pink Lemonade' is a Rabbit eye variety which produces well in both cold climates and mild winter areas. Standing 4-5 foot tall at maturity, we recommend that you let your plant put on growth for the first few years pinching back any blossoms that form. This will allow your plant to put on good, strong growth. Once your plant has matured, at around 3-4 years, you will reach full production. We recommend at this time to trim any dead or weak branches out, stimulating new growth and producing more berries. Hardy in zones 4-9! - More Info
