(Grape) Grape 'Concord Seedless'-Blue- The old favorite blue-black grape that has been around for generations, but without those pesky seeds. Grape 'Concord Seedless', though similar in flavor and texture to Concord, is unrelated. The clusters and berries are much smaller than those of Concord. The fruit matures earlier, has high flavor, and makes excellent pies and preserves. It is also the easiest for the home orchardist to grow. Grapes should be planted in full sun with well drained soil. A trellis or arbor should be used to support the canes that can grow 12 to 15 feet tall and spread 8 to 10 feet wide. 'Concord Seedless'-Blue- should be pruned back in the winter to control plant size.
