Andropogon ‘Indian Warrior’

  • Adds Motion,
  • Great Foliage,
  • Native

(Bluestem-Big) Add motion to your garden with the tall, upright habit of Indian Warrior Ornamental Grass. The green foliage of Indian Warrior takes on a burgundy sheen midsummer adding an element of deep color to your garden. In late summer, this drought tolerant variety sends up inflorescences on reddish stems. When they first open, tiny orange pollen sacs drape from the flowers and can be seen from afar. Indian Warrior Andropogon is a native variety that can be found in western prairies. It is very adaptable to any soil situation and prefers to be planted in full sun. Indian Warrior Ornamental Grass can be used as a cut flower and in dried floral arrangements. Plant in mass or as a specimen for a splendid sense of movement in the garden.
