Homeowner Tips
Arundo grass is very adaptable to many growing conditions and locations. It will grow well in moist boggy soil and is adaptable to dry sandy soil. Often you will see it growing in ditches or locations that are naturally wet. This plant prefers a sun to part shade location. You will find that in most cases 'Peppermint Stick' will be a deer resistant variety. Arundo spreads slowiy by Rhizomes, and you will see it die back to the ground in the north in the winter.
