(Hardy Aster) Enjoy the fall beauty of Aster Purple Dome in your garden or landscape. Standing 18 inches tall, Purple Dome is a native variety that forms a tidy compact mounding habit. In late summer early fall, Purple Dome produces loads of purple, semi double flowers that will give your garden a fall color facelift. Grown in full sun to part shade, Purple Dome prefers to be grown in moist well drained soil but will tolerate short periods of drought. Great for cut flowers and attracting butterflies, this native aster is deer resistant. After flowering we recommend trimming your Purple Dome Aster back to prevent unwanted seedlings.
