(False Spirea) Color Flash ™ Astilbe has an amazing new contrast of foliage colors. New foliage starts off bright lime green and matures to a rich burgundy purple color. All foliage colors are present on each plant as the leaves come out in different stages. Color Flash ™ has a pale pink plume that stands aprox. 10" above the foliage, what a great new addition to your part shade garden!  Astilbe bloom from late spring though ealry summer and like to be well watered. Color Flash Astilbe is a WOW perennial that likes shade and moist feet. I planted three, amongst gold and blue Hosta near my water source, and it showed its colors all season. (Posted on 1/14/2012)
