(Sedge) Add a splash of 'snow' to your summer garden! Carex 'Snow Cap' is a variegated sedge that has nearly white foliage with a trace of green on the edges. The strappy leaves are dense and create a low, 6-8 inch by 15 inch mound. 'Snow Cap' is best suited for gardens that are situated in part shade to full shade locations. Planted in moderate to moist locations, 'Snow Cap' is a beautiful ground cover, border, or container plant, hardy for zones 5 to 9. Carex 'Snow Cap' is grown for its attractive foliage, and would make an excellent companion to other shade perennials, i.e. bleeding heart, hostas, astilbe and ferns. We recommend trimming it back in the spring before the new growth emerges. 'Snow Cap' Carex is a deer resistant perennial.
