(Leadwort) Ceratostigma plumbaginoides is a groundcover that has green foliage during the summer, then turns a striking bronzy-red in the fall. Bright blue blooms are present from late summer until the first hard frost, creating a dazzling display. This dependable, long-lived perennial is a showy flowering plant that will continue its scenic interest into the fall. Ceratostigma plumbaginoides was a Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit winner in 1993; leadwort will create a dramatic look as it flows through your landscape.
