(Clematis) Clematis ‘Multi Blue’ is an excellent large flowering variety of clematis that is a sport of Clematis ‘The President’. The well-rounded 4-5 inch double flowers have deep purple-blue outer layer petals, topped with many layers of shorter, pointed, reddish-purple petals. Going through many different stages of maturity, ‘Multi Blue’ will appear to have both single and double flowers on the same plant. Standing 5-10 feet tall, ‘Multi Blue’ blooms in May to June and again in August through October. Clematis ‘Multi Blue’ is a great rebloomer. ‘Multi Blue’ grows in full sun to part shade locations, although it prefers a part shade location. Clematis attract the flutter of hummingbirds to the garden.

Flower color may vary due to environment.

Thank you Garden Crossings for a superb ordering experience. I was shocked at how soon my order arrived at my front door. I was even more shocked at how well my Clematis’ were packaged. Came in excellent condition. Will definitely order again in the future!

  2. Tammy

Beautiful blooms on this Clematis. Bloomed the first year I planted it. Can’t wait to see what it looks like this year.

  3. Elizabeth T | Zone: 8b

    Incredibly Prolific
This clematis was incredibly prolific in my former zone 7 garden. It regularly climbed a 25 foot tree and covered it with both single and double blossoms all summer. Needed no pampering and was reliably hardy.

  4. Randy | Zone: 6a

    Great Double Blooms
Found this as a neglected plant on the NE side of our home. It survived 2 years with no care and a bit woody” looking. Great blooms (double). Now cared for with new climbing stock in place (10′)”
