(Corydalis) Enjoy the purple blue shades that Corydalis elata brings to your part shade garden. The bright purple blue tubular flowers of Corydalis elata bloom from May into July and set nicely perched above the bright green lacy foliage. Standing 16 inches tall, this Corydalis is well suited for part shade locations. Corydalis elata prefers consistently moist, well drained soils. If you are looking for a nice cobalt blue early summer blooming perennial, this Corydalis is a great specimen for container plantings as well as in shade or woodland gardens. Corydalis elata is hardy in zones 6-8. One of the most reliable Corydalis for the south, and for our northern gardeners we do recommend protecting from frost in the cooler climates.
