(Corydalis) Enjoy the purple blue shades that Corydalis elata brings to your part shade garden. The bright purple blue tubular flowers of Corydalis elata blooms from May into July and sets nicely perched above the bright green foliage. Standing 16 inches tall, this Corydalis is well suited for part shade locations. Corydalis elata prefers moist, well drained soils. If you are looking for a nice colbalt blue early summer blooming perennial, this Corydalis is a great specimen for container plantings as well as in shade gardens. Corydalis elata is hardy in zones 6-8. One of the most reliable Corydalis for the south, and for our northern gardeners we do recommend protecting from frost in the cooler climates.
