(Pinks) FRUIT PUNCH® 'Apple Slice' Dianthus adds some "punch" to your landscape border with its fragrance and beauty. The 1.5 inch double blooms have deep red petal edges, marked with splashes of pale pink in the centers of each petal. The grass-like, blue-green foliage forms a tidy mound that is very low maintenance and is drought tolerant. FRUIT PUNCH® 'Apple Slice' makes a wonderful fragrant cut flower. When your early summer blooms are finished, give 'Apple Slice' a quick trim to encourage a rebloom in early fall. Dianthus are a butterflies' delight, and you won't need to worry about the local deer, they should not touch this plant. For optimal results, plant in sun to light shade. FRUIT PUNCH® 'Apple Slice' is a wonderful border plant, as well as a great choice for rock gardens, containers and around patios.
