Description

Details

(Pinks) Dianthus 'Shooting Star' is another wonderful addition to the 'Star' series of Dianthus! Could this be the best one yet? We think so! 'Shooting Star' forms neat and compact evergreen mounds that remain attractive all season long. The glaucous blue-green foliage is covered with hundreds of magenta purple flowers in early spring and again in early fall after deadheading. The delightful spicy clove fragrance is an added bonus! Dianthus 'Shooting Star' likes full sun but will perform well with only 4-6 hours of direct sunlight. Deer will leave this one alone while the butterflies will flock to get a sip of the sweet nectar. 'Shooting Star' is easy to grow and maintain and makes a lovely border or mass planting.
