(Coneflower) Echinacea Butterfly™ Julia is a new coneflower with flower color that is as stunning as the Julia Butterfly. The bright, golden orange blooms have a sweet fragrance to them. The sturdy, compact habit, standing 16-18 inches tall forms a nice upright mound. A profusion of bright, golden orange flowers are 4 inches wide and held up on strong, well-branched stems from midsummer through early fall! The beautiful flowers are long-lasting, and as they age, they broaden up and lighten to a more golden orange. Not only are the flowers beautiful, the plant itself is an excellent grower with lovely deep green foliage. Julia is also very drought tolerant once established. This compact form of Echinacea is well suited for container gardens as well as in the landscape. In the late season we recommend leaving the seed heads as they will attract birds to your garden in the fall and winter. Echinacea Julia is a must have for any garden, and will light up your garden both in color and with the butterflies in nature it attracts.
