(Lenten Rose) Helleborus Penny's Pink® has so many unique qualities that you will love in this Lenten Rose. The unique spring foliage is truly something to talk about. The foliage starts off as a bronze green color with pink veining. Each leaf is held on purplish pink petioles, and as the season progresses the pink veining is replaced with green. The purple buds form in the late winter and open to bright mauve flowers. As the flowers mature they take on a deeper pink color. Another thing to note about Penny's Pink® is that it blooms in the first year. Penny's Pink® is a perfect plant for naturalizing in moist, woodland areas and also is a good selection for part shade to full shade locations. Penny's Pink® is a deer and rabbit resistant variety.
