(Coral Bells) With colors so bright, 'Electric Plum' Heuchera is a garden stand out. The fantastic foliage is bright purple in color with deep dark purple/black veining. As the new foliage emerges it is near black in color. The foliage creates a 8-10 inch tall mound that spreads to 16-18 inches across. Early to mid summer 16-18 inch spikes emerge with little pink bell shaped flowers. Part if the H. villosa family, 'Electric Plum' is heat and humidity tolerant. 'Electric Plum' can be grown in full sun to full shade locations, but prefer a little shade. A great garden addition when planted in mass, as a border, or a beautiful specimen. Heauchera are salt tolerant and can be grown in the part shade of Black Walnut trees, 'Electric Plum' is resistant to the toxin Juglone which is emitted from Walnut roots. This native, evergreen attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to the landscape.
