(Rose Mallow) 'Starry Starry Night' is just the plant for your daytime garden. With foliage that is as dark as the night sky, the near black leaves resemble the shape of a maple leaf. Standing 3-4 foot tall and wide, 'Starry Starry Night' is an excellent choice for a compact hardy hibiscus. The large flowers are 7-8 inches across and have a unique color pattern. The swirled blossoms fade from dark pink to a lighter pink color with a dark red eye. Blooming from 'tip to toe', this indeterminate bloomer blooms mid summer through the fall. A native variety, 'Starry Starry Night' is well suited for a full sun to part shade locations although foliage color is darkest in the full sun.
