(Knautia) Knautia 'Mars Midget' is a delightful compact perennial that blooms from early summer until frost! The pin cushion-like flowers of 'Mars Midget' have brilliant ruby-red petals and white stamens. Butterflies and hummingbirds love this long-blooming beauty! The dark ruby flowers also look great in cut and dried arrangements.

Pretty Flowers Review by Lori | Zone: 5
This is a beautiful little plant and quickly became one of my favorites. It cheerfully produces very pretty flowers all summer long even though I don't dead head as often as I should. I had to order another one for the front as I couldn't wait for it to get big enough to separate! (Posted on 2/16/2009)
