(Oriental Poppy) Papaver 'Plum Pudding' has large, black seed capsule centers that are surrounded by a deep purple stamens which enhance the large deep plum pink blossoms. 'Plum Pudding' has a more compact habit reaching 30 inches tall. The rich plum blooms last longer than some of the older poppy varieties and may rebloom in late summer. Oriental Poppy 'Plum Pudding' prefers to be grown in average soil conditions. This beautiful cut flower is also a hummingbird attractor. Enjoy the blooms of 'Plum Pudding' poppy without having to worry about the deer and rabbits enjoying them first.
