(Beardtongue) Penstemon Red Riding Hood has an upright habit with 18-24 inch tall spikes that have good basil branching. The coral red flowers appear early summer and bloom throughout the summer until fall with light trimmings as needed. Planted in full sun, Red Riding Hood is a sun-loving, drought-tolerant perennial that will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Red Riding Hood is deer and rabbit resistant, easy to grow, and is perfect for cut floral bouquets.
