Details

(Hybrid Creeping Phlox) Enjoy the early signs of spring with 'Violet Pinwheels' Creeping Phlox. Standing 4-5 inches tall and slowly spread up to 36 inches wide, 'Violet Pinwheels' forms a bright green mounding habit when not in bloom. 'Violet Pinwheels' is a hybrid creeping phlox which means it has been bred for a more intense show of color. Loads of small pinwheel shaped violet blue flowers emerge late spring creating a blanket of color on hillsides, in rock gardens or along garden pathways. Hardy in zones 4-8, Phlox 'Violet Pinwheels' prefers to be grown in full sun locations with average to low water needs. Creeping Phlox are a Native perennial that is easy to grow and makes for perfect low growing, early season color for pathways, borders or as a ground cover.
